Last time in Leeds was 1992. British Art Show 8 is a touring exhibition, Leeds have paid to host the exhibition, Leeds is central, with good links from Sheffield, making the exhibition accessible to a wide audience.
42 Artists, Seen as British however not all holding a British passport or residency. Articulating a particular moment in Britain through one artwork.
Curators argument is the selected artists have all practiced in Britain at some point in their careers, British national as expanded throughout the years
